Our Story
Built circa. 1835 these handsome Grade II listed, late Georgian townhouses had very notable residents including a young Princess Victoria and Prince Louis Mountbatten (parents to Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma). A couple of doors down lived Sir Winston Churchill who was known to have regular, neighbourly dealings with the royal couple.
The secret, residential gardens of Eccleston Square were once the exclusive picnic spot for the elite residents and their high-society and royal friends, like Oscar Wilde.
In 2010, the townhouses were acquired by an Anglo-French hotelier family and a full renovation of the buildings took place over a two year period to create what is today Eccleston Square luxury boutique hotel.
